Who we are looking for

  • Strong communication in Kannada, Hindi and English

What the role gives you

Work from home

Part time, from anywhere in India. No commute, and no fixed office hours.

Work that changes an outcome

You are the person who reads a student’s work closely enough to see what they are actually missing — and says so in a way they can act on.

A framework, not a guess

You evaluate against the YASHHO ability framework rather than a personal opinion, so your observations are consistent and comparable.

Mentoring, not marking

The score is the beginning. Recommending what to strengthen next, and guiding the student along their Personalised Success Path, is the role.

No fee, at any stage

Nothing to apply, nothing to join, nothing to train — and no deposit, refundable or otherwise. If anyone asks you for money in connection with this role, it is not us.

What applying involves

Told upfront, because a surprise voice recording halfway through a form is how good applicants abandon it.

  1. Fill the form

About you, your post-graduate background and your languages. Three to five minutes.

  2. Record a 90-second voice audition

One situation, the same for everyone. You respond as you actually would.

  3. We listen, and we call

Shortlisted applicants are contacted by the YASHHO team for the next stage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a YASHODARSHI actually do?
You read and evaluate student submissions, identify where their abilities are strong and where the gaps are, write personalised observations, and recommend what the student should strengthen next. You then guide them along their Personalised Success Path. It is mentoring, not just marking.
Is this a genuine work from home role?
Yes. It is fully remote and part time — you work from home, anywhere in India, using a computer and an internet connection. There is no office to attend and no travel.
Do I need a post-graduate degree?
Yes. A post-graduate degree in any discipline is required for this role, along with a genuine interest in learning and research.
Which languages do I need?
Kannada, Hindi and English. You will be writing observations that a student and their parent must be able to act on, so the standard of written communication matters as much as the spoken.
Can I do this alongside another job?
Yes. It is a part-time role with no fixed office hours, and many YASHODARSHIs fit it around teaching, research or other commitments.
What is the pay, and how is it structured?
Up to ₹40,000 a month. What you earn depends on the hours you choose to give and your seniority as an evaluator, and the specifics are agreed at interview. The structure is different from other YASHHO roles because the work is different — you are paid for evaluation and mentoring, not for sales.
Is there any fee, deposit or registration charge?
No. There is no fee to apply, no joining fee, no training fee and no deposit — refundable or otherwise. If anyone asks you for money in connection with this role, it is not us.
Do I need to know the YASHHO framework already?
No. You evaluate against the YASHHO ability framework rather than personal opinion, and that framework is what you are taught. What you bring is the judgement to apply it carefully.
What does applying involve?
A three to five minute online form, and a 90-second voice audition where you respond to one situation as you actually would. Shortlisted applicants are contacted by the YASHHO team.
