The Science of 21 Tasks and Triangulation
13 questions
Why does YASHHO use 21 structured tasks?
The 21-task model is designed to observe success abilities across different activities and situations.
This allows the framework to gather multiple observations rather than depending on one questionnaire or one examination.
The tasks are intended to provide evidence relevant to different abilities and developmental contexts.
Why does each task measure a minimum of 30 abilities?
A practical activity can involve several abilities simultaneously.
For example, a task requiring a student to understand instructions, plan a response, communicate ideas and complete work within a deadline may involve comprehension, reasoning, written structure, discipline and time management.
YASHHO's task architecture is designed to assess multiple abilities through each activity.
Why is each ability measured 9–18 times?
Repeated observations are intended to provide a broader view of performance.
A learner may perform unusually well or poorly in one situation. Measuring an ability across multiple tasks can help reveal more consistent patterns.
YASHHO's current framework specifies 9–18 observations per ability.
Why is repeated measurement important?
A single performance can be influenced by fatigue, distractions, unfamiliarity or temporary circumstances.
Repeated observations across different activities can provide additional information about how consistently an ability is demonstrated.
Their reliability depends on appropriate task design and scoring.
What does triangulation mean in YASHHO?
Triangulation means bringing together different sources of evidence to examine an ability from more than one perspective.
YASHHO's approach includes task outputs, evaluator protocols and behavioural observations.
The purpose is to cross-check findings and build a more comprehensive analysis.
Why does YASHHO assess a student's ecosystem?
A student's learning and performance are influenced by more than individual effort.
Family relationships, teachers, peers, habits, educational opportunities and the surrounding environment can affect behaviour and development.
YASHHO’s ASLI64™ process gives families an additional, personalized view of strengths and developmental priorities beyond marks alone.
Does YASHHO assess parents as well?
YASHHO's assessment considers parent involvement and relevant information about the learner's environment.
That does not automatically mean every parent receives a separate AACE64 assessment.
Does YASHHO assess teachers, classmates and neighbours?
YASHHO's holistic methodology recognizes the potential influence of teachers, peers and the surrounding social environment.
How does YASHHO avoid judging a student based on one bad day?
The full framework uses multiple tasks and repeated observations.
This is intended to reduce dependence on a single performance event and provide a broader picture of the learner's abilities.
YASHHO’s ASLI64™ process gives families an additional, personalized view of strengths and developmental priorities beyond marks alone.
Who evaluates YASHHO tasks?
YASHHO tasks are evaluated by trained YASHODARSHIs — specialized Success Ability Evaluators and Guides who follow YASHHO's structured scientific assessment protocols. YASHODARSHIs are trained to observe, assess and analyze students' performance across the 64 Essential Success Abilities under the four AACE64™ pillars: Attitude, Aptitude, Communication and Execution.
YASHHO's assessment process involves 21 structured practical tasks, designed to capture multiple dimensions of a student's abilities through repeated observations.
What do YASHODARSHIs do?
Evaluate task performance: Examine students' responses, activities and task outputs using defined assessment criteria.
Observe inner abilities: Identify evidence of concentration, memory, comprehension, analytical thinking, communication, confidence, discipline, decision-making and other relevant success abilities.
Follow standardized evaluation protocols: Apply YASHHO's proprietary PESPHAT-GROWPRO™ methodology to maintain consistency and objectivity in assessment.
Analyze strengths and gaps: Examine performance across multiple tasks and observations to develop a comprehensive picture of the student's abilities.
Support personalized development: Help students and parents understand their Success Path Chart and identify priority areas for ability strengthening, according to their assigned responsibilities.
Does artificial intelligence evaluate YASHHO tasks?
No. YASHHO's 21 structured practical tasks are evaluated by trained YASHODARSHIs, not by artificial intelligence.
YASHHO follows a human-led, structured assessment process in which trained YASHODARSHIs evaluate students' task responses, performance and demonstrated inner success abilities using the proprietary PESPHAT-GROWPRO™ assessment protocol.
Can AI-generated answers affect the accuracy of the Success Scan?
Yes.
If a learner submits work produced by AI or another person without authorization, the response may not represent the learner's actual abilities.
Authentic participation is important for meaningful assessment results.
How does YASHHO ensure scoring consistency?
Scoring consistency requires defined rubrics, evaluator training, calibration, quality checks and review procedures.
